People ask what, exactly, I am – an architect, an urbanist, a researcher, someone who writes software. The honest answer: the tools change; the subject doesn't. For twelve years, across some hundred and fifty projects, the recurring work has been the threshold – the deliberate gap between a new structure and a six-hundred-year-old wall; the moment a private room turns public inside a video call; the step of a stair set outside the code so that a nine-metre climb stays easy. In my thesis I gave that subject a definition I still work by: “The space we are in is a meshwork of relationships.” Nothing in it is fixed; every thread can be rewoven. Buildings, drawings, surveys and software are different ways of taking part in the weaving.

Registered architect (TMMOB no. 47543) with 12 years of practice across Turkey and Italy. I work where BIM, architectural heritage and the public realm meet: LiDAR survey and scan-to-BIM, construction details, municipal permits, and built work – including UNESCO-listed and PNRR-funded projects in Turin.

Between 2015 and 2020 I founded and ran my own practice in Izmir – 22 commissioned projects – after working in four studios and serving as site chief on a 14,000 m² Hilton Hotel. In 2025 I completed an M.Sc. in Architecture for Sustainable Design at Politecnico di Torino, where I was also a teaching assistant; my thesis, supervised by Prof. Daniela Ciaffi, is a mixed-methods study of how virtual meetings reshape public and private space.
